You know the kind of day I'm talking about ...
... when despite an early start you can't accomplish what you had hoped to.
... when your child is ending a week of bratty behavior by being especially obnoxious complete with biting her cousin; answering "NO!" to every question you ask and every thing you offer ... only to ask for it as soon as you put it away; whining and pleading and begging and finally collapsing on the floor in an all-out fit over every little incident when she can't have her way.
... when you rush out the door to work leaving toys strewn from one end of the home to another.
... when your afternoon at work is busy-busy-busy, not quite leaving you the time you need to finish that one project.
... when you can't find what you need at Target.
Well, that's the kind of day I had. Then I came home to ...
... a delicious dinner I didn't have to cook, thanks to some good friends.
... a clean apartment thanks to a wonderful guy who picked up all those toys and who is at this moment washing the dishes.
... a well-behaved toddler who, perhaps in trying to make up for her awful earlier behavior, was sweet and snuggly and kissy.
... ice cream, cookies, and a movie.
... a nice relaxing bath, comfy pajamas, and an inviting bed.
Some days might be rough but "I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day." 2 Timothy 1:12b. My God loves me and takes care of ALL my needs!
