Baby Dedication

Last Sunday we dedicated the Phebis. We do not christen or baptize our babies -- we believe that baptism is a public testimony of salvation, and that salvation is repentance of sin. A tiny baby cannot understand what sin even is, much less repentance.
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" Romans 3:10
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
"That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." John 3:15-17

When we dedicate our children it is a public testimony of our desire to raise our children according to God's Word.
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
"Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." Ephesians 6:1-4

We dedicated the Boogie when she was just a few weeks old because my mom was here. This time around it kept getting put off until finally we decided we just needed to do it!

Then of course I had to get some pictures of my pretty girls all dressed up.

They surely do like each other a lot!

May both of your girls grow up to serve the Lord with all their heart. What sweet pictures.

It is a good thing that they like each other so much. Hopefully, it will stay that way. Great pics!
