... In With The New

Someone else is going to be doing the cooking around here. She has the hat for it! and a cooking spoon, although she is only permitted to have that under constant supervision as she likes to whack things (and people, like her sister) with it.

I may be making some little tweaks and changes to my blogging in the near future. You might notice them, you might not. Hopefully I will be able to increase the number of posts this year over last year.Writing is a good outlet for me; it keeps my far-away family connected with what we are up to; it is my journal for the things that are happening.

For instance, I need to make note of the fact that the Phebis cut another top tooth this week. That makes three teeth on top and one more on the way, and two teeth on the bottom. This week she started pulling herself up on things, and today she reached another little milestone: going from crawling to sitting up.

I also need to write down that the Boogie referred to something as "bigantic" today; often assures us that "it's possible"; and has been using the words "very well" -- or in her case, "bery well" -- correctly.

The other day when Eric came home from work she greeted him excitedly, and then she ran to find me. "Honey, honey! Your lub [love] is here! He's home!" She ran back into the living room. "Daddy, come see your lub!" How will I remember these sweet little things if I don't write them down?

I am not one to make New Year's resolutions. Too often I've made them and failed miserably to keep them. Therefore I am not going to resolve to write more faithfully ... but I'm going to try. That's the best I can do!
